River of Pride 2025

The 2025 River of Pride Festival is a ten day celebration from Aug 1 to Aug 10 in Greater Moncton with a parade beginning at 2 pm on Sat Aug 9. Learn more here or visit the River of Pride Facebook page

If you wish to WALK in the parade with our Affirming United Churches and allies on Saturday August 9; decorating begins at Central United Church 10:30 am. The float will be moved to the Foundry street parking lot at 12:15. Look for Group 4. Walkers are asked to be there by 1:15. Bring your banners, water, sunscreen, hats, colourful clothes, comfortable shoes and your enthusiasm! All are welcome!

We walked with Affirming United Churches beginning at 2 pm in the spirit of inclusion and solidarity. Show your support anywhere along the parade route downtown Moncton. Following the parade, celebrations continued at Riverfront Park in Moncton.

Show your support for diversity and reaffirm that love is greater than hate. An alarming trend of escalating hate crimes targeting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community continues to plague North America. The data shows an increase in hate crimes based on sexual orientation over the past five years. Now is the time to demonstrate that Love Speaks Louder!
