International Women’s Day
Sunday March 8 we celebrate International Women’s Day and tell the story of the woman at the well during worship. Thank you to every woman who made this Sunday so very special including our worship volunteers as well as Laura Bordage, Alisha Leger, Janice Bannister, Ivie Otoikhine, Nancy Hartling and Olivia Finnamore.
Sunday March 15 we light a candle in memory of Melissa Price. We light this candle to honour her memory as well as the memory of all those who suffer brutality. Melissa is a beloved of God and we offer our prayers and support to her family and friends. In Canada, 30 women and girls have been violently killed so far in 2026. May Melissa’s memory and that of all women who have died tragically through similar situations, inspire us to work harder to educate ourselves, support our most vulnerable and break this cycle of violence. May God be with all who are grieving and grant them peace, grace, and the strength they need in the days to come. Learn more here
